What are your likes and dislikes when it comes to art and paintings

I love visiting galleries — there's something calming about walking slowly through quiet rooms full of beautiful work. I artists who use bold colours and simple shapes because they create a strong emotional effect. I'm not a of very dark or depressing paintings, though. They make me uncomfortable. I can take or leave modern installations — sometimes they're brilliant, but often I just don't understand them. What I really can't is when galleries are overcrowded and noisy. Art needs space and silence to be properly enjoyed.
