Text 5 — General context

Many young people choose abroad because they want to experience a different culture. At first, they may miss their family every day and dislike a foreign language all the time. However, most students carry because they know the experience is valuable. They also practise new friends and solving problems on their own. After a few months, life abroad may seem more natural, and students often return home with more independence and confidence.
